A recent post on http://mawazo.posterous.com/ got me thinking; with all the mpango wa kando hype and the constantly increasing HIV/AIDS infection rates - would Kenyans rather be HIV+ than broke?

Gikomba Market - June 2011.
Gikomba, is the largest second hand clothing market, in Kenya. The market supports a whole ecosystem of of activities from tailors, to distributors,transporters and all sorts of occupations that revolve around the second hand clothing market - On a certain level though, i think the second label may be a misnomer since clothes move through a chain, from MACY’s then if they dont sell moved to TJ MAX and ROSS then if they don’t sell are package and sold in Africa. At the Gikomba market you can still see the labels from ROSS ,TJ MAXX or even Goodwill Stores.
